Dang good job so far.
Neat thing with BYOR (build your own rod) is you can do a Burger King with it, Have it your way Once you really start getting into it you'll be searching out specific blanks for a specific purpose. Great stuff to play around with!
Today i sat down about 8:30 and figured i would do the tip and start the guides after about an hour of watching you tube i felt confident to go ahead and start . i got the tip on in good shape in about 25 min and started on the hook holder figure good place to start , i wrapped it twice and didn't like it so i undid it and did it one last time this time i was happy with the results i am hand wrapping these so its a little more difficult have to work it slow and make sure it stays even .... so i learned after about 10 attemps on the 1st guide it tooke me a few hours and a few walk aways to get it down i figured out everything possibly not to do in that 4 hours and feel confident i should have all the guides on and wrapped by the end of the week . touching them up with grey thread is gonna be a learning thing as well .. so after about 6 hours i got tip on and 1 hook holder and 1 guide i am happy with it so far ......
Looking good Zig
The absolute berries my man! I got your reel ready and after seeing the wrap color I just had to back and line it with a wonderful WF3 green line. That outfit is gonna be some sharp!
