I have recieved three packages of beautifully tied flies from Dave, Bill and R.C.  Nice work fellas I can't wait to swing those babies into a cross current!!!

I have been a little under the weather this week, but I can make the drive over and pick up those flies this weekend Zig.  Sorry about bailing today.  I had the stomach bug most of the week and now I have a scratchy swore throat.  F*%k my life!!!  I hate getting sick.  My wife will tell you all I'm the biggest baby around when I'm under the weather.

I'll be shipping out on the 16th or 17th.

Who am I waiting on besides Ziggy and Koda at this point?

Theron

BTW Dave are those little gray ones CDC caddis?

Sorry to hear your not feeling well Theron that dang bug has been making it's way across the country and it's showing no mercy.  had that bugger a few weeks ago.  I hope you get to feeling better soon.     that fly is called the Hyroup CDC emerger. I believe its suppose to be a Batis ( mayfly )  . I fish it across current and don't strip it very often. It has produced a ton of fish for me. Very easy to tie to. I know we have some very small black stone fies here in the Black Hills . When they are on the water that fly fished just under the surface is killer.

About that bug. The "medicine" whether you have it, or just want to prevent getting it, is called sour mash.  More specifically, Jack Daniels Old No 7 Big Grin

You take a good size water glass and pour 2 fingers of the elixir in the glass.  Now when I say two fingers I'm talking the New England two fingers.  That's where you hold out your pinky, pull in the next two, and stick out your index finger.  The distance between the two digits is....two fingers Mr. Green

If you have the bug it'll kill it, but it may take a couple more "two finger" shots. For preventative measures  "two fingers" in the morning, and another two jest before bed Surprised

Bug germs can't survive in sour mash, it's a proven scientific fact :wtf:

So does everyone want their extras back or to just pread it all out as evenly as possible?

I haven't checked the mail in a day or two but I suspect the last two I'm waiting on will be here on Monday.

According to the USPS Tracking you picked up mine yesterday ????  Don't know about anyone else but I tied enough to cover our anointed leader Lee, ( he'll just have to owe us at some point down the road Big Grin ) so mine should be exact count. The 2 dozen scuds were for PHW but if we're not doing that then add a bonus to everyones package Smile

You have the ball my friend, or shall we say the fly collection.  Kind of reminds me of my tour at the Leper Colony (Ingersoll Rand ) with Karl Wester.  We stood at the coffee machine one day and he asked me for change for $1.00.  So like a fool I gave it to him. He hands me back $1.10 and tells me I owe him $2.20 after I just bought the coffee.  My brains leaked out trying to make some sense out of that.

Of course it was normal for him as back in those days we didn't have sonar fish finders.  His bigger brother would chop a good size hole in the ice and then grab Karl by the feet and stick him head first down the hole. Karl was actually one of the very first fish finders.  Somehow, I think the extreme cold of the ice water affected his brain in the long term Surprised

But since you have the flies, YOU make the call, with mine anywaysMr. Green

Hey T go ahead divide mine out as evenly as possible . Or you can send them to Lee.  I am cool with that . If Lee objects then keep the rest for your self. Dave V

I like the idea of evenly spreading them out personally and yes Koda your package was in my mail box this morning.  It is sort of a surprise bonus the extras, and like I said we can organize a donation later.  Thats my $.02 anyways.  I certainly don't mind tying up some more flies.  I love the experience.

Theron

If there are any objections to this I will not be offended or upset and will happily infact send the remainders of whomever disagrees back to them.  Keep me posted.

I started spreading them out and it looks like most everyone should have four offerings from the other participants.  I spread Koda's out one scud of each color and 3-4 bronze back turkey flies.

I also made sure that everyone is getting some of their own back.  Is that what everyone wanted?  If not I can change that.

I really wanted to let you guys know that these flies really represent some class A work.  I am seriously impressed.  I wouldn't expect any better a fly from my local fly shops.  Thumbup

So at this point we are week away from returning these beauties, and I am short only Ziggy's and fish Carva's flies I think.

Dave your box is a little small so I will have to find something small for the remainder of your flies.

Well the last one came in today and out they go tomorrow.  Thanks for participating gang.  It was fun.  I have them up randomly since there were extras from some and fewer from others.  They all looked great and I can't wait to cast em into the current.

Thanks again.
