I'm OK with donating some of the flies to the project.

Do they ever need volunteer guides? Perhaps some of us could help out on that level or as a group.

JMO why not keep flyswap the way it was and come up with a game plan for this project? I d be interested in helping out in anyway i can donation of flyreel . reel ,streamside kit.... etc perhaps we could pick something that we could all pitch in for and donate as a group?

Ziggy you right . That would be 21 flies to be tied and sent to T-Bone.  Not sure what the plan is for Project Healing Waters is as of yet.    I am tying up 2 dozen flies and plan on keeping 3 flies for my box.  I have a fly box set aside for the flies everybody sends me. That box is going to be marked secret weapons from my buds on Lee's site. I can't wait for spring to put everyone flies to the test. Just to let you know I'm judging everyone flies in the way they look but how they catch fish. I know my flies arent perfect but they have caught me a bunch of fish. Thats all that matters in my book. Sorry I just spotted the post, I've been busy. I am still sending my 24 flies to Theron as agreed on. Theron please take 16 of those flies and ship them to Project Healing Waters as I believe that is a great cause. The other 8 one from each tyer back to me as I feel it would be neat to see what everyone did for this tie. Also if you could put up the address of the location you send the flies I have some reels I would like to send in hopes they will put them to good use. Dave thanks for posting this, and Lee what a great idea to donate the flies. Theron once again thanks for setting this all up.

Wow this awesome. What a great group of folks on this site. I have to say I am proud to know each and every one of you. Even though its through a computer in fiber space. 1000 of miles separate most of us but I feel like you are all family.  Being a vet this group makes me proud. I really hope all of us can find a way to help in this program . What a great cause . God is smiling on us. Dave V

I have not hurd back from Healling Waters on the fly donation.  Until we do this will have to be put on hold.  I just sent another e-mail and it kicked back to me as undeliverable, so this may take awhile to get sorted out.

Also I am going to have to pull out of this venture because I am experiencing a very painful elbow on my right arm, have no idea what the problem is and it is not good.  So I am out at this point, but if I start to feel better I will try to get some flies done for the donation.

I guess my feelings are that you others will swap some flies and donate the others.  Maybe do two (14 flies since I am out) each for the swap and 7 (7 flies from each participant to donate) each for the donation.

Please work this out with Theron since he is going to do the mailing.  When I find out where to send the flies for the donation I will let everyone know.

See Yah
Thanks
Lee

Hi Everyone

I just got a e-mail back from David Folkerts from PHWFF.  This is what he said:

Lee,

Sorry you did not get a response.

You can ship to this address.

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc.
PO Box 695
La Plata, MD 20646

Please fill out the attached in-kind donation form, print, and send with your shipment of flies.

All the best,

Theron

I have attached that form to this post.  Right click the link and save on your computer "Save target as...".  Use Adobe Reader to open the file and fill it out and then print.  Sign the form and add to the package you send to PHWFF.  Keep track of the cost to send this (Mailing and the package) and I will reimburse you for the cost.

I am very sorry that my arm is a mess right now and there won't be any flies from me, but my tying sucks anyhow so I think all will be better off.  Remember to keep track of your cost to send this to PHWFF.  And thank you to all who have done flies and do hope the vets get a chance to use them.

See Yah
Thanks
Lee
