No need to colaborate your story, I believe you as I believe everyone else here does as well.
Now to your posting problems!! Bobby what are you using to access the site, home computer or something else, because when I look at my stats for the day you are getting new IP numbers many times, which I think has something to do with your problems. Let me ask at glFusion what it means to be getting new IP numbers all the time and if there is something we can do to fix this problem for you.

Bobby,
Being a former Vermonter myself I can certainly see where politics killed the research in regard to salmon.
There are less tax dollars in Vermont because of a lower population, and less officials in office than say NH. That means there are less ideas and it makes it easier for that one biologist to get all wrapped up in the biggest water way in the state, on the opposite border.
I found Vermont to be a very difficult state to live in. The job market there crashed long before it sloped off in NH. The jobs pay less on average, and it is just as expensive or more so to survive there. Politics are to blame for this in my opinion. Those that survive, work way too hard for their money or have possesed it for a long period of time. The state's survival depends on tourism, where out-of-staters purchase vacation homes in scenic locations and visit for a few months a year. Where farming used to be the primary means of survival, few still exist, and now houskeeping and property maintenance seems to be the steadiest form of work there. But this is likely beginning to slope off as the economy is taking its toll on the deeper pockets as well.
Well that's enough about Vermont I guess....
I'm glad to hear that salmon are restablishing somewhere. What about in the Merrimack? I was under the impression that they were merely dumping these fish in to be fished out or to return to the ocean. Is that correct?
I have never seen a salmon outside of the grocery store. Maybe some one could be kind enough to introduce me to the species some day....?
If I remember correctly a Land Locked Atlantic Salmon was caught one year around 1998 in Lake Champlain up near Vergennes, VT. Isn't that correct Bobby? I remember the news making a big deal out of it. Was it not intentional? Is there a population developing there now or was it a fluke? It seems that would be possible as some of the northern rivers must deposit into the Lake, and they should be cold enough. Right?
Thanks,
Theron

Here is a link that will help you grasp the fishing now on Lake Champlain. Salmon!!!!!!!!! you bet! Much of the field work on sea lamprey assesment was done by that biologist I mentioned earlier.
Tight lines!
Bobby
Here is some good coming out of VT

I am having trouble posting and I am not sure what the heck it is but I'll do what I can.
What I am telling you is word of mouth comunications between myself and individuals; there is no link. You can contact the USF&W office in Montpelier and ask for research papers on Atlantic salmon in the White River and see what you get if you wish to colaborate my story to see if my story has a foundation of truth.
