True, but is part of the problem, it's a place to start. Even if they are not the only carriers, felt soles are a heck of a good carrier. And if you hit different rivers in one day or different sections of the same river, it's hard to clean and dry in between.

Some go to church and think about fishing, others go fishing and think about God.

True baby steps..  We have to all do our part to help out. Maybe one day man or nature itself will put a stop to dittimo

Hey Sebastian  I like the little saying at the bottom of your post . How true I think about fishing in church and God while I am fishing all the time.

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.

I'm not really into quotes and stuff like this but this caught my eye because is so true. And returning to the topic,  I totally support the felt ban like any other measure that would improve fish health, and natural state of the rivers/lakes. I've seen what human intervention did to the rivers in my home country and I would agree with any rule that is aimed to preserve the environment. I think this is not the time to be selfish and think only at our comfort when we go fishing.

Some go to church and think about fishing, others go fishing and think about God.
