They should make the whole Miramichi Drainage C&R....there is no need in this day and age to kill Atlantic Salmon!! There are so many incidents of poaching going on  in that sytsem that it would shock you. The good folks of NB don't know what they have ......in a heart beat it could turn into a mess like our rivers here in NS with no fish !!!!

I agree with you Mike .   If only they would open their eyes.  The way I look at it there is money to be made on us fly fishing tourist.  If the fish are there in large numbers and good sizes . The word would get out and people would pay big bucks to fish there.  The guides would make money . All the local businesses would make more money  A win win for you folks. If they fish the Atlantic's to extinction then all would be lost..  Not to mention a big tradition would be gone for ever.  I hope things change up there in a hurry or it could end up like the State of Maine in  a scamble to save what Wild Salmon are left.

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
