Well about five years ago I was supposed to go to mongolia to fish for taimen with a magazine but unfortunately I shattered my elbow so that trip was put on the back burner.. So I guess that would be my dream trip.... or for the Salt most definitely CUBA..

BUt my true dream of mine is to get into my 1968 vw bus and head out first west to fish the fall run in New York and Michigan, head farhter west in December to fish the Klamath River steelies of Northern California. From there head down the coast to the Baja for rooster fish and take a left and follow the gulf coast stopping in the bayou region to fish for giant redfish and seatrout eat some crawfish, listen to some cajun zedeco music, follow that energy and hit the florida gulf coast by spring around fort meyers to flats fish for sea trout and reds some more, catch a few spring training games. Follow the coast farther sout to try my luck on some traveling tarpon and local snook. Take a 180 degree turn and head north stopping at the arkansa and fishing for giant browns. AFter getting my fill of big fish and hankering for some mtn rivers stop in north carolina fontana dam section and fish for rainbows, browns and brookies... by that time Im spent and sick of fried food. so I head for the coast and make my way up following the striper run all the way home..................

Spent happy and poor...............

Salt water man I see. Bone fishing would be a blast on the keys in Florida. So would red fish in the Gulf of Mexico.

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.

DAVE I like it all.... I like it all as long as it is fishing ok by me... I do like the salt alot though.. much more dynamic if you ask me....... so I ask myself the question all the time..... ""why do I own a flyshop in the middle of the mtns on a freshwater stream??"" why because l like that just as much and the salt is only a little over and hour away where my parents live....

That would be cool because you never know what you would catch

That's my thought. One cast you could hook a Pirannha, the next an Arapuica (not sure about the spelling on this one), or a peacock bass or some other Ciclid.

It's the unknown that makes me want to head there.
