Its a General Practitioner , or GP. I always thought it would be good for early trout but have never tried it. They are a pain in the arse to tie I can tie 2 dozen regular salmon flies in the same time as I tie 2 of those buggers Evil

This is not a criticism. I notice your GP is similar to that
of Bryant Freeman. Not as complicated as the original
Esmond Drury pattern. Well done just the same. Big Grin
Are you using dubbing for the body? I do it the lazy man's
way with a piece of wool. Big Grin
Not sure why I ever tie one. Have never ever has a fish even look at one.

I do use dubbing on them Stephen. I have to agree with you as I've never caught anything on it either but folks I tie for that fish fall salmon rivers always want them.
