Scott......Be thankful there are "little buggars".....Let us hope
they will survive to become "big buggars".
Lee......I must admit that that trout of Dave's is purdy....But when
is he going to post a photo of a big one?
Thanks Lee., I hope to get more fishing in before the snow fly's Congrats on 900 post.
Hey Scott Stephen said it right it is a good sign there are little fish in a pond or stream. Means they have have a chance to become monsters. You might have to put a little extra weight to get the fly past them little buggers to get to larger fish. Thus the new flies you recieved . Remember its not the size that counts Its the fun you have trying that counts. Learned that one from the wife.
Now as for Stephen . I don't think you will be seeing big fish come from me . Most of those big fish got poached out a few years back when the water levels were so low. I remember seeing 10 pound plus rainbows and huge browns cruzing the pools I fish today. I havent seen a fish over 22 inches in a long time, About 5 years ago Stephen I hooked a monster fish was over 12 pounds . Broke me off in some underbrush. I was a little heart broken. A couple days later I was talking to a man he said his wife had caught a fish the night before weight was over 13 pounds . I asked him what she caught it on. She was using a bait caster and a peace of corn as bait.I asked did she throw it back .He said it was in their freezer. He was thinking of having it mounted for her or they were going to cook it up. It was a complete bummer to me knowing the lunker was removed from the water and was in a frying pan or on a wall somewhere..I guess I could go fish the lake and catch a huge trout using lures on a bait caster plugged or trolled around 200 feet deep but thats not my style. A four weight flyrod is in my blood. Dave V
