Hi All
I have not been to the Miramichi for a while...But a quick search
found this.....
August 21st
After a couple of weeks of not seeing a lot of fresh fish entering the system, we have finally started to see more fish holding in our low-water pools on the lower stretch of the river. On Sunday the 6 fish landed were all fresh from the Sea. The water is at a perfect height for holding fish and some of the pools are starting to hold some very big salmon.
The above was taken from the Country Haven web site
The Fall run should be in full swing by the last week of September if
water levels are good enough. If water levels are low the fish will generally hold in the deeper pools within a few miles of tide water.
It seems when they are in a holding pattern in the Fall they are not
very anxious to take a fly.
Stephen
Thanks for the update Stephen

As far as I've heard this year the fish'n is bad and they are lucky to get a fall run!!!! Now all my contacts for info may be wrong but none of them indulge in the spirited beverage so .................................How's it that me and my buddy Bob ended up hanging out with a bunch of non-drinkers
Anyway Stephen will be able to give us some good data on the fish run???
