Nice bit of humor . Thanks for the chuckle.

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.

and some of the words are theirs.

Well done Tom.  I think the colder weather may make fishing the mountain streams a little bit harder now, fish are there but may be on the move for the winter.

See Yah
Thanks

Do you change tactics when the weather/water gets a little cooler?  Fish later in the day, or switch to sub-surface presentations?

All new to me, as about 95% of my trout fishing experience comes November through February Smile

Has anyone fished Marsh Brook - which splits off to the west from the Wildcat below Meloon Rd. Bridge?

It shows up on the topo map, but I have to say I don't remember driving over it where it crosses Crawford Notch Road.

Tom

I think that brook is very small in size, it crosses Carter Notch road about 100 yards below the Bridge road.  I don't think it would produce anything.  As for later tactics for the wild fish I am not sure what is best but I would think nymphs would start to work better later in the year.

See Yah
Thanks

I think fall fish love hoppers and one of my favorites the Renegade. On Browns that is.
