The nail knot lesson wioth that wonderful tool/nipper combo was great too. I hope I geta little luck withthat fly soon. The only action I got on it after Zig lost his big brown, was when I attempted to look through my fly box for the next selection. I had the rod under my arm and the fly was drifting in 8-10 inches of water with current and I had two fast tugs. Nothing after that.
My wife might find herself looking for something important or near and dear to her, for a long time if I ever found her tampering with my outdoor equipment! It would be ugly!

4 turns seems to be the magic number on them nail knots. 5 and they don't seem to settle in right. Less and they don't grab good.

Many a year ago my Father In Law managed to piss off his wife. Seems the deer rifle that was settin in the corner took a hard fall shortly after. He pulls down on a huge 10 pointer a couple a weeks later and misses em clean at 20 yards. WTF!!! When his brains dribbled down his face trying to figger why it was so far off the confession came soon after. It wasn't pretty over there for a spell
