My wife picks on me because I have subscribed to every fly tying magazine know to man at one point in my life. So the question to you all how many or if any magazines have you subcribed to still subscribe to ?

Zero!!! The wife picks me up one once in a while when she is out shopping. The only mag I get regularly is The Atlantic Salmon Journal I get it with my ASF membership.

Zero here as well. I used to get some in the past but not now. I don't ty that many flies now and it would be a wast of money for me.

Hi Dave
I have not subscribed to a magazine since Rod & Gun
ceased publication about 40 years ago. I don't even buy
magazines off the shelf any more.
But books are another disease all together. If it has the
word fly-tying in it...I want it!!!!......I also keep an eye out
for the rare or unusual ...Like my copy of Pilgrims of the Wild
by Grey Owl..Signed by the author in 1936 or my copy of
the Poems of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow published
in 1892

The only "fishing" magazine I subscribe to is Rodmaker magazine, and obviously that deals specifically with fishing rods, not fishing in general.
I find a subscription a waste because 75% of the articles are fishing in Montana or New Zealand, and with 4 small children that's not going to happen anytime soon. Sad

Hey Dave, thats why I like the fly tying magazine it has mostly flies and how to tie them, Your right they do mostly have advertizements and places most people would never fish. I do subscibe to Trout Unlimited becuase I feel they are doing good in helping clean up our nations troubled streams. For the most part I don't subscribe to magazines like I used to. Oh by the way I had five of my own. They are all grown up now so the wife and I have made it a priority to travel once a year to a place we have always wanted to fly fish. Your day will come sooner then you belive.
